Born in San Francisco during the height of the hippy era, I was exposed early to peace signs, incense, beads, black light posters and intense vibrant colors. The idea for Booktales™ was developed from an old leather belt, with bones tied to the ends, that I owned for over two decades. Attracted to natural things, I could not throw this belt away. So, I cut it in strips, tied bones to each end and decided to place it in an book I was reading. An idea was born!

My goal is to encourage people; especially young people to read. Each piece I create is an expression of me.
